Roman Glass

Roman glass is an ancient glass discovered in Roman archaeological excavation sites in the Holy Land. It has become one of Israels archaeological treasures and are being excavated in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Masada and other sites previously occupied by Romans Having developed an advanced  technique for glass making, Roman glass was primarily used for jugs, bottles, tableware and windows. Having been immersed in the soil  for over 2000 years, exposed to sun and water, the glass acquires unusual textures and brilliant prismatic opal-like colors. Each piece is unique, making it the perfect material for both traditional and modern jewelry. Each piece of jewelry I create with Roman glass, is actually a piece of history"  Ben Sadya
